Who is responsible

Carmeliora is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Our registered address is IFZA Business Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@carmeliora.com.

Information we collect

• Launch list: your name, email address, the consent wording version and the time you sign up. These are saved in Carmeliora’s own customer-management workspace on Shofield AI.
• Saved bag: a randomly generated browser identifier, your selected quantity and the time the bag was updated. The bag is not linked to your launch-list email by our website.
• Correspondence: your email address and information you choose to include when contacting us.
• Technical information: our hosting services may process connection and request information, such as IP addresses, browser details and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.

Your contact, shipping and billing details are sent securely to our Shofield checkout service and Mollie to process your payment and pre-order; they are encrypted in our checkout records. Payment details are entered only on Mollie’s hosted payment page.

How we use your information

We use launch-list information, with your consent, to keep you informed about the Carmeliora new launch and product availability. We use saved-bag information to remember the selection you ask us to save. Checkout information is used to process payment, deliver purchases, provide customer support and maintain transaction records. We send the necessary contact, address and order details to Stripe or Mollie when you choose that provider. We store provider payment references and verified payment status, not full card numbers. Correspondence is used to respond to you, and technical information supports website operation, security and troubleshooting.

We do not sell your personal information. This version of the boutique does not include advertising pixels or a third-party analytics service added by Carmeliora.

The saved-bag cookie

When you save or update a bag, the website uses a first-party cookie named carmeliora_bag. It holds a random identifier so we can retrieve your saved selection. The cookie expires 30 days after it is set or updated.

You can clear this cookie using your browser settings; this removes that browser’s access to the saved bag. Removing an item in the bag clears its selected quantity. Cookie expiry or removal does not automatically delete the associated server record. If cookies are blocked, the bag may not be remembered between visits.

Browser preferences

We store your selected language and currency, plus a flag that you joined the waitlist, in this browser’s local storage. Session storage holds a flag that you have seen the invitation, a temporary price quote and an order reference. These preferences and flags help remember your choices and avoid repeating the invitation. None of these stored values contains your name or email address. You can clear them in your browser settings.

Shopping assistant

Ask Karmen is an AI assistant, not the founder speaking personally. Conversations are visible to Carmeliora’s authorized team and are processed through our customer-service platform to respond and provide support. Do not share payment-card details or sensitive personal information in chat.

Talk starts only when you choose it and allow microphone access. Your browser’s speech service may process audio to transcribe it; the resulting text is sent to our assistant. Browser speech playback reads replies aloud when available. You can stop listening or playback, or type instead.

Service providers & disclosures

Our website hosting, data storage and email service providers process information as needed to operate the site and handle communications. When payments are enabled, the selected provider processes payment-related information under its own privacy policy: Stripe (stripe.com/privacy) or Mollie (mollie.com/legal/privacy). Delivery partners receive the details needed to deliver your order. Hosting infrastructure may process information outside the United Arab Emirates. You can contact us for further information about the providers involved in your request.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, or where necessary to address misuse or protect legal rights. Access to website data is limited to the operation and administration of these services.

Retention

We keep launch-list information for the purpose of providing the requested launch news until you withdraw consent or it is no longer needed for that purpose. The saved-bag cookie lasts 30 days; server records are managed separately. Correspondence and operational records are kept for as long as needed to respond to enquiries, operate the service or meet applicable legal obligations.

Contact us to request deletion or ask about the retention of information relating to you. There may be information we must retain to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

Your choices & requests

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by emailing info@carmeliora.com from the address used to sign up. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it was withdrawn.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction or deletion, or ask to restrict or object to its use. You may also request a portable copy where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.
